Baby Namings

Children are our future and a naming ceremony is a formal way of welcoming a child into the family, friends and wider community.

The most popular age to have a naming is in the first 12 months of a child’s life. I attend many name giving ceremonies on the child’s first birthday.

Name giving ceremonies are usually performed at private homes or parks as they are usually informal affairs.

I give a choice of ceremonies, and poems and a candle ceremony can be included in the service. A certificate is given to the parents for the child as well as Godparent or Guardian certificates. Certificates for the grandparents can be supplied for a small additional cost.

A copy of the ceremony on parchment paper, is given to the parents as a memento.
